  • Description: After the death of her stepfather, a refugee from Pontos (the Turkish Black Sea Coast), Eleni comes to Athens to find her real father, who disappeared during the expulsion of Greeks from Asia Minor. On the train, she meets Argyris, an impoverished musician playing at village festivals. Kind man that he is, he proposes that she stay and work with him. She has a good voice, which captures the attention of the owner of a record label, while his son, Andreas, falls in love with her. With the help of a nightclub owner, Eleni manages to locate her lost father in a village on Crete. She also finds complete happiness with Andreas.
